Accessibility – Locations of Installations

 

🌙The Saint John City Market – 47 Charlotte Street

The City Market is wheelchair accessible, the Germain Street entrance has a ramp and the Charlotte Street entrance is flat. Public and wheelchair accessible washrooms are available. 

🌙Kings Square – 100 King Street

Kings Square is wheelchair accessible, with light inclines in some spots. Installations will be spread out and easy to view and interact with.

🌙St. Patrick Street Bus Shelter

St. Patrick Street has a steep incline but the bus shelter is better accessible at the St. Patrick and Union Street intersection as it is flatter. 

🌙Saint John Arts Centre – 20 Peel Plaza

The Saint John Arts Centre is wheelchair accessible, there is an elevator. There are single-stall public washrooms available inside.

🌙Boardwalk / Harbour Passage Trail

The boardwalk is only accessible to the public from the bottom of Union Street due to construction. There is an incline down Union Street leading to the boardwalk; it is also accessible using Smythe Street, which is flat. 

🌙Union Street

Union Street is mostly flat with a steep incline beginning near the St. Patrick Street intersection.

🌙North Market Street

North Market Street has a mild incline and has entrance points to the City Market on both ends. Public and wheelchair accessible washrooms are available inside the City Market.

🌙Charlotte Street

Charlotte Street is wheelchair accessible and flat. The City Market entrances are easily located with public and wheelchair accessible washrooms inside. 

🌙Imperial Theatre – 12 King Square S

The Imperial Theatre is wheelchair accessible and flat, located at 12 King Square South. There is an elevator and gender neutral washrooms inside. ASL interpreters will be present for Sunday, August 20th, from 1pm-4pm during our Conversations artist talks and panels.

🌙InterAction School of Performing Arts – 228 Germain St

InterAction is located at 228 Germain St and is flat, the entrance is accessible by stairs and a ramp. Workshops hosted in this space will be located on the third floor, accessible only by stairs. Gender neutral washrooms are inside. Virtual accommodations to the workshop will be considered should they be mentioned during individual registration.
